How do you modify the link in your profile signature to show plain anchor text rather than the full "htt://..." link?

I've noticed that some signatures use the full link format while others use an anchor text format. I've tried putting the <a href="http://..."> anchor text</a> in my profile and it doesn't seem to work. Also tried the BBC Code with tags. Same story...

Thanks. I was able to use the BBC tag in my blog/website listing but not in the signature. Is there any other way to do so? I see examples around the forum.

See for example, the following signature of bagas.roos several posts previous to our discussion... It displays as anchor text.

When I tried to put  tags into the signature box in the profile, I got an error saying they weren't allowed.
