It will be interesting to see how you will be taking your site, which is not indexed by Google yet, to a ranked site.
How long do you see it taking to get to, let's say, a 2 ranking? It would be fun to see what techniques you talk about on your site work for your site.

Optomistic, optomistic.  Sounds like a challenge and worthy of having some fun with a poll here. Also a good way to test our polling ability: will BIXSEO make it to Google ranked 2 by August 21? Stand by, I'm going to make this a formal poll.

Ok, after 2.5 weeks Bixseo's site is sitting at 0/10 page rank.
Getting a ranking is not as easy as it might seem.

My understanding is that Google only does PR updates quarterly, so even if he did everything right it could be 4 months before a rating were to show up.

The quarterly updating (not really quarterly) is the periodic changing that Google does to its algorithms. Basically these are changes in the way Google looks at sites and how it arrives at its rankings.
The sites themselves that Google indexes can change daily. It would be possible for Bixseo to go to 2 in 2 weeks, but really would be nearly impossible.
Some new sites will be thrilled that they have a 4 ranking after a week. That sometimes happens because Google has found them but not yet ranked them. When that happens, the site will usually go to zero within a day or two. This is not as common as it used to be.
Ranking is really a difficult task. This site at one point was ranked 7. We are now 5 because the rankings are much, MUCH tougher than they used to be and everyone was moved down over time. Today's 5 is probably equivalent to an 8 four or five years ago.
