I would like to change (edit) some of the old titles and content to make them more search engine (Google) friendly.

Is this a good thing to do?

Am I going to mess up the indexing?

Any other pitfalls?

Thanks for the help!

You may mess up indexing for the short term that's about it. After that it all depends on Google and how long they take to re-index everything.

Other than that, I'd say its a great idea, whenever you learn how to make your older blog posts better by shortening sentences, using more active idea structures, and dividing the post up in sections for the readers to search through easier.

I recently began doing that to one of my posts on my site last night.

Thanks, when I started to post I didn`t really understand the value of keyword research. I would like to go back know and make the posts more Google friendly!
