But i guess even forums are very active.
But sometimes they lack SEO.

I know that people say google likes blogs, but unless you actual search information with the word blog as a search term. Non blog pages always seem to rank higher. We change our home page once in a while and the blog more often. However even with all the work on the blog the far easier homepage always ranks higher.
