Billiri -An aggrieved father in Gombe
State has dragged his son before a Billiri
Civil Area Court for neglect.
The father, Mr Biryam Bappa, of
Pamadu village in Shongom Local
Government Area of Gombe State, is
demanding the refund of N600,000 he
spent on his son ’s education and
upbringing.
Bappa told the court on Wednesday
that his son, Lewi Biryam, had
abandoned him and the entire
members of his family.
The plaintiff, who was led in evidence
by his counsel, Mr Emma Nweke,
narrated to the court how he had
fulfilled his parental obligations by
training his son from nursery school to
tertiary institution.
He, however, said that on completion of
his studies and securing a job, the son
never catered for him financially or
otherwise.
Bappa further alleged that Lewi got
married without introducing his wife to
him (his father) and had also
consistently failed to attend family
meetings.
“I am, therefore, seeking from him, a
refund of N600,000, being what I spent
