Adsense has one really good advantage, it is super easy to use, and has a lot of features so that you can design the adverts to suit your blog, and you can also drive certain kinds of ads, and also you wish ban others. (competitors for instance) You can do this with most of the pay per click ads, but I think adsense is the easiest. If you are using blogger then it is even better, as you can integrate it with all your google account in the settings and there are a lot of gadgets to play with in there. Google have certainly made it user friendly, and of course they have reason to do that, the more adsense ads that are taken up, the more money they make, so they make it very very simple to use. The question is, can you make money? I think it boils down to one thing, and that is traffic. If you get 50 viewers a day, you MIGHT get 1 click (10 to 30p) If you get 100 viewers a day, you MIGHT get 2 clicks. This is only a very rough guide, you need to driving 1000's to your blog to earn good money. But it can be done, but it takes time. There are no hard and fast rules to any of this, it is trial and error, blogging is a great hobby to have fun with, if you make a few quid then that is an added bonus, if you really work at it, have a really interesting blog, then yes you can make money. I liken it to playing football, thousands enjoy playing it, but only a few make any money. The key to success is so simple....an interesting blog, and traffic. http://olympicsweymouth2012.blogspot.com

I am really apprehensive on how adsense works and whether the wait is worth it? I have been trying adsense since many days, but nothing seems to work out. So, really dont have much to share on this. All, I can say is it is not easy to drive traffic to your website on a regular basis.

Adsense is always a dream for a blogger. Really it varies. First of all you have to be approved as publisher. As I observed, A blogspot blog get it quickly. In my case, I have failed once applying for adsense. If anyone can write good articles, then it will be a great way of their earning. It's very effective for earning online.
@freebroc2 I think, you can try writing article on Hubpages, Squidoo, eHow. These sites share the revenue earned from displaying ads on your article. And there are a lots of way to earn handsome amount by only writing online. Hope that helps.

AdSense is a great way to earn money, but it takes a lot of traffic and effort. Never forget that there are numerous other ways of making money from your website. In text ads, selling merchandise, and even donations can prove very effective. Jason http://www.larkive.com

Hi , This is true that adsense is a good way to earn money online but that needs some prerequisite. Obviously sufficient traffic is the answer.Though i am a beginner to in blogging world but i achieved that first 100 $ mark, and hey that was THE moment of my life Realy! So what every beginner thinks like me is, ok right, i need to drive traffic. So for that i need some realy good topic on which i can write more and more so that people wana come and read the stuff. So you can earn more and more if you choose something about what you wana write even though you dont have enough knowledge ( because you can always learn about that topic online). So the actions need at this time:: 1- Just thing of some good topic about which you have passion to write ( and that helps you inreal life in some way or other ) 2-Once you have choosed topic start blogging and writing post about it ( and then wait for like 6 to 8 months ) until ull start earning like atleast more than 50 $ a month, and thats realy good for any beginner) 3-Always take part in forums like this one. I am a beginner too and i got my first 100 $ from google and thats some thing realy over whelming hope this helps hassam

adsense is good for the beginners. It's free and easy to set up. To make some real money on adsense you will need to have at least a thousand unique visitors to your site. It may be hard to get there but the rewards can be great, both financially and mentally.

It certaintly never hurts to have multiple options for income. It always shocks me that people won't do easy things that COULD make them money because it won't be enough. Why not have a backup plan on top of backup plan on top of a backup plan?
