Not too sure how many of you are familiar with the topic, but has anyone experienced canonical issues (duplicate content, www VS no www, etc.)? if so, any tips on how to fix it on a wordpress hosted blog.

I don't think you can fix it on wordpress.com.  You have to add a line to the .htaccess file and, if I remember correctly, you don't have access to it.
