I have s blog that is 3 months old. I have an adver tisr asking for info I do not understand or do not have. The want a "brief summary" of our outlet including VPM, Ad Rate, etc.
What is VPM? What is Ad rate, the rate I would charge for an ad?
Thanks

"VPM" could mean vibrations per minute. But in this context it probably means "Visitors per month". Many of these inquiries are sent out blind, like junk mail, so don't get too excited quite yet. They are assuming you have a program running to analyze your traffic. If you have a private host, sometimes they have software available that you can access through your control panel for information on page views and visitors. Otherwise, I would suggest installing Google Analytics. It will give you all kinds of information on who is visiting, how long they stay, what pages they like most, and much more. Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ to get started.

PS: I forgot to mention: yes, adrate is what you charge for advertising. This can your per-click charge or banner rental (usually monthly).

Thanks so much BlogFoot, what about the ad rate? They ask for Ad rate, I am guessing they may be interested in an ad. It is a new site so the most I would probably charge would be $25/month for small ads up to $100/month for larger ads?
Thanks again!

What you can charge depends on what volume you can prove you have. I don't think they will make any firm offer until you can show them what you do.
What is the link to your site? The more links you leave around the better the ranking. Also, you may get a few visitors from this thread to beef up your numbers.

Very nice site.
Your Google Page Rank is zero, which is not unusual for a new site. You need to work on that.

Thanks for the compliments. I guess that is going to take a little while to get google ranked. Thanks so much for the advice.

Are there any quick ways to increase your page rank, or any high PR sites to comment on and leave your link?

Google is smart enough to have learned that commenting in links is pretty much useless most of the time to determine site importance. It is just too easy to manipulate.
In short, there is no easy or short way with Google or with the other search companies. Good content, use of key words, posting on sites like this, exchanging links (but with good and similar sites), and so on are the keys to getting somewhere.
As I posted on the old site, and I need to hunt this down again, there is a blog that was apparently abandoned years ago with a single post on it. That site has a 5 Google ranking. You just can't tell sometimes what the Googlebot is going to do.
We will be adding some articles on basic SEO in the near future.

I think you have one of the best new blogs out there, with PLENTY of potential. Are you pinging often? Also I assume you have submitted directly to the search engines. What about a stumble campaign? When you are well-known and successful, remember the little bloggers : )
