How can we do proper SEO for blogger.com sites?

Because, we donot have access to the hosting space.

So we cannot setup robots.txt, the atom.xml files are sometimes not acceptable by Google Webmaster tools and we cannot create one and submit our own. Since they are subdomains, some search engines/directories may not accept their inclusions..

Blogger is incredibly limited, especially when it comes to your ability to self-promote, do SEO, etc.

I dont see what is the problem with getting your own domain and doing everything just as you like, unless you have lots of traffic and good positions to that blogger site.

I don't quite get it.  For some of the searches I do with keywords I have for my blog, they do appear in the google search and my blog is a .blogspot blog.

Also, wondering if the fact that my blogger blog feeds into my website making the content appear not only on my for example: freshradiantskin.blogspot.com blog but also in my website at freshradiantskin.com/blog

Does that matter?

if you dont have a heavy trafic get your own domain and doit. is there any problem for that

if you want to promote your blog than do proper SEO for it, write unique content on regular basis and post it into your blog, definitely your blog will gain publicity after some time.
