When I was in school I used to write a lot and for some time I aspired to be a journalist, however, this wasn't nurtured in school and after being told I'd never be a journalist I really took it to heart and lost interest in writing. With the advent of blogging there's no reason why anybody can't write about anything they like, so I picked a subject that I have an interest in and decided to start writing. I am doing it for myself and I'd like to have as many readers as possible, I don't expect to make money from it though I think I will look into ads in the future because it would be nice to get something back for the time I spend writing.

I'm a musician and a guitar teacher. Over the years, I kept noticing the amount of people who were getting really good at playing, just fall away from it due to a lack of motivation.
So I wanted to do something about it and create a blog that is able to help people learning an instrument to stay at it and get the most out of their learning.

I have few blogs on different themes. And one of them quite old say 3+ yrs. Its all about world-cup 2006 and other soccer talks. I started it when 2006 world-cup bagan. I remember, once my blog had PR5, and now it dropped to PR3. Till now I earned almost $1000 from this blog by placing sponsor ads. Right now I have no time to write posts but I'll soon gonna start as World-Cup 2010 will start. And I hope some more sponsors there. I m gonna target only one keyword i.e. World Cup 2010. Yeah its tuff but my blog is already appearing within 25 page of google SERP . There are tuff competitors on my way Lets see whether I can make it or break it Thats all abt my blog

I started blogging to express myself, to share my experience and to learn from the world.

Hi everyone.. Newbie here.. I didn't bother introducing myself in the newbies sections since I didn't find anyone who did it.. Hope you don't mind if I started out here.. Well, as for me, I started out my blog because when I joined a writing community, my articles got rejected.. I thought I might as well make use of the articles for my benefit.. And also, my blog is intended to improve my writing..

I've been blogging for fun (sort of to keep track of my life, just like a diary) for several years. I started http://derbygirlblog.com a year and a half ago because I had just started playing roller derby and wanted to connect with other skaters. My semi-professional site, http://higheredunderground.com grew out of my passion for and career in higher education. I wanted to create place for college students that was both informative and fun. It's still relatively new, and I may never make money off it, but I really enjoy the project! Lauren http://higheredunderground.comhttp://derbygirlblog.com

I started blogging because I wanted people to know about how I felt on different subjects and how flexible I am. I also wanted to reach out and touch people and make people laugh.

My blog is my journal, that keeps me honest when it comes to my health, diet and excercise. I was about half way through my weightloss journey when I discovered the blogging community and became INSTANTLY addicted. Knowing that there were millions of others out there going through the same things I am... well, all of a sudden I wasn't alone in the land of no doughnuts! And I wanted to share my own experiences, and maybe be for someone else what those inspiring people were to me. I use my blog to look back on what works and what doesn't for my body. I plan my meals. I record my workouts. I record my epiphanies. I record my struggles. I had a diary as a kid, so this is my grown up version of the same. Plus I'm an attention whore. And I love having people read my stuff. www.gettingandstayinghealthy.wordpress.com

A lot of the local news never gets into our local newspaper so I started my blog to let people know what is going on as a would be journalist. Then I found people who used to live in my town liked to visit the blog - its been going since Jan 2006. I like taking pictures as well so it is a good use for that hobby. People prefer more pictures than writing anyway. It is at http://www.abingdonblog.co.uk/ . It gets on average 450 visitors a day - most live locally. Never had a follower yet - not sure why.

I blog to promote. I LOVE art and I think it's so unfair when deserving artists don't get noticed. I started my blog to give them a chance to have their work seen in a fun and enjoyable capacity.
I really just like doing all sorts of hobbies and things as well. I never thought I would love blogging as much as I do!
