I have submitted my site to google, yahoo & bing and are awaiting their responses.  I dont believe it was accepted because when I type it into the browser, it doesnt come up.  However things I've posted on blogs, social bookmarking sites, etc. do come up where my site link is listed.

It is the 5th day of existence of my blog, and this is the 1st that analytics is reporting to me that I am getting traffic from search engines (in particular, google).  It says I have 5 organic referrals from google.  If my site is not yet on there, how could this be?  Does this mean someone for example..

Typed something in the browser, it brough up a post from here, and then they clicked on it from here, but since it was originally from google, it qualifies as a goggle referral?

it might take time until your website is indexed by google.

i suggest that you will do the follow:

go to google.com

in the search field type:

cache:http://your-blog-name.com

and if you see you blog it`s mean google indexed it. in anycase just keep building links and google will find you site.

Jay did you install a "Google Analytics" widget on you blog? Also, Google as a "Webmaster Tools' program that send google to look at your site.

They walk you through on how to get them up and running. It does tend to speed up getting listed in Google; Yahoo and Bing will soon follow.

These are FREE things that Google offers. All you need to do is open a Google account.

Another thing you can do in the Google search window is type in   site:www.your url That will tell you if you are listed.

Luck with your blog.

I've got some good news, your site is indexed by google.

Good blog by the way, lots of content, nice to see someone making the effort to actually write for their blog.

It usually takes a new website about a month before it’s fully indexed by Google.
